Our
Story
Ruth Thorn, the founder of Hope Connect, is a parent of an adopted child with Attachment Disorder. Sharing her experiences led others to recognize how childhood traumas affected them. As people sought guidance for raising children with emotional and behavioral issues, the need for information and support became clear, prompting the establishment of Hope Connect in 2019.

MISSION STATEMENT
We are dedicated to building a world where children who have faced trauma receive the care and support they need to thrive. By strengthening relationships between children and their caregivers, we create a future grounded in love, stability, and resilience.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
As Bible-believing Christians, we affirm that true understanding of the human mind comes through examining the way God created it. ‘The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom’ (Proverbs 9:10), and we recognize God as the divine Creator and designer of both the mind and its function. We believe that psychology, when rooted in God's truth, can serve as a tool for healing and restoration. However, any psychology that glorifies human wisdom apart from the foundation of His true and living Word is considered foolishness to God, as written: ‘For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God’ (1 Corinthians 3:19). With this conviction, we seek to support and uplift children who have experienced trauma by applying principles that align with Scripture, recognizing that true restoration comes through Christ alone. With the Holy Spirit as our guide we seek to fulfil Christ’s call to care for the vulnerable (Matthew 25:40) by supporting parents and carers to strengthen the bonds with their children, fostering environments that reflect God’s love, grace, and design.
